Mary Butler To Speak On Trust In ASTD Presentation At The Philbrook

Mary Butler, V.P. of Learning Unlimited Corporation, ASTD presentation at the Philbrook, Feb. 12, 2010Learning Unlimited V. P., Mary Butler, to lead engaging conversation about the importance of trust in leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, productivity, and performance.


Tulsa, Oklahoma February 1, 2010 – Research has identified four "elements of trust" that must be present for workplace trust to develop:  (1. Reliability, (2. Congruence, (3. Openness, (4. Acceptance.   When one element of trust is missing, trust is diminished, if not destroyed.

Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:30, Mary Butler will present, for the American Society for Training and Development, "Got Trust?  The Key to Giving 100%".  During the presentation, participants will engage in courageous conversation about these four elements.

Mary Butler enjoys the perspective and expertise that comes from 20+ years in the field of training and development.  Learning Unlimited Corporation, of which Mary Butler is Co-Founder and Vice President, specializes in Leadership and Organizational Development, and are recognized for their customized training process(es).  Learning Unlimited facilitators are skilled integrators of experiential learning and traditional training practices.  Mary's interactive facilitation style was birthed during her years as a ropes course director.  She was instrumental in the addition of experiential learning to Quicktrip's Manager Development Conference in the late 80's, which is still a dynamic part of of the MDC.  Mary's current favorite population to work with is drilling rig crews. Celebrating 17 years, Learning Unlimited serves clients worldwide.

The event takes place in Tulsa Oklahoma at the Philbrook Museum of Art on Friday, February 12 from 11:30 - 1:00.  The cost is $20.00 for ASTD Members, and includes lunch.  Guests, or Non-ASTD members are invited.   Cost of program and lunch is $30.00, for non-members or $10.00 for program only.
